Blush Lust : Bourjois Little Pot Blusher in Rose Frisson Review and Swatches!

I have noticed a pattern in my makeup hauls. If it is lipsticks one month it is blushes the next month. And since it is the blush this time next month I will hoard only lipsticks next ;) Mayb it has got to do with me getting easily bored!

And I am gonna introduce another pink (sigh!) blush from my vanity :P Yea I am bored of pinks too.It is time to switch onto peaches and oranges on the blog ;)

  • Bourjois Little pot blushers are the oldest blushers available to common women aka us.here is what they say:
Our timeless blusher has been around for almost 150 years and have made Bourjois famous worldwide thanks to its amazing texture and packaging.
The baked texture transforms when applied to the skin into an ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of the rose scented powder.
Its built-in mirror and brush is perfect for touch-ups on the go!
The Little round pot blush exists in 12 shades to match all skin tones.
  • Did u know Cendre de Rose Brune is one of their oldest blusher shades ?? So if u r into Vintage stuff u must get that shade ;) I had the shade but misplaced it somewhere :(
  • Most of their blushes are shimmery but u can find a few good matte ones :) D'or means Golden in french so if a blush is named D'or it has loads of golden shimmer like Lilas D'or Amber D'or :)
  • I got the shade Rose Frisson.

  • It has been aptly named as little round pot blusher as it is tiny blush case. Can easily fit inside the palm/jeans pocket. Also the color of the case matches the blush :)
  • Packaging is pretty sturdy.Has a magnetic lock mechanism which clicks shut satisfactorily.
  • The blush case houses a brush along with the blush.A mirror has also been provided which is handy for touch ups :)
  • The brush provided is soft and can actually be used for blush application unlike the usual useless brushes provided with other blushes ;) Just wish the brush was placed in a separate compartment :\ Everytime I open the case it falls off.

  • The shade Rose Frisson is a medium pink color with extremely subtle golden shimmer.
  • Finish is satin due to the presence of shimmers.

  • Honestly the pigmentation is just about average. One swipe is not enough to show up on me.I need 2 to 3 swipes to get the flushed look.I highly doubt it would show up on dusky skin.
  • Lasted for 4 hours on me.
VERDICT:

This blush is a great pick me up shade for fair to medium skin.Would not call it a must have but being a blush hoarder I wanted at least one of these in my vanity. Hopefully I find the rose brune :\

U can check out other pretty shades as they have an extensive range :)

P.S: Happie Valentine's Day everybody! Have a great tym with ur loved ones :)

Blush Lust : Kryolan Powder Blusher in Lake Swatches and Review!

Hello Everyone!

Long due post I guess ;)Here I am going to review the most pigmented blush I have ever used.

I got this blush after reading a review of it on Deepika's Blog.I always wanted to own a mauvish blush. And this one is not exactly a mauve blush but rather a pink blush with mauvish undertones.

With a light hand it can be your "just had a great workout" or "U r making me blush" kinda blush and with a heavier hand it can add an oomph to ur makeup ;)
But a warning though this blush might b lil too much to handle for the ones in the beginner's level of blushing!
Kryolan has a good selection for shades that caters to all skintones and also offer palettes which are pre set.
Most of them are mattes and this particular blush is matte as well since I do not prefer shimmery ones.

blended

Price: available at Rs.350 for 2.5g

The quantity provided is def on the lower side but the pigmentation is awesome.Hence u will need only *tiny* amount of it.
The blush has a very soft texture but I didn't experience any fall outs with it.It luks like a powder blush and feels buttery to touch!
I wouldn't call it easy to blend types.U need to blend it well otherwise the blush will remain concentrated on the spot u patted it.
The blush lasted on my *dry* cheeks for 6-7 hours straight thou there was fading after 3-4 hrs.So overall this is one great blush to own and this particular shade will suit duskier skintones too but not sure about dark tones in my opinion.

RATING: 4.5 OUT OF 5

RECO: Yeah U got to try atleast one from their collection. I am already planning to get a palette that has Mocha,Redwood and peach shades :)
