My quick 5 minute face routine!

I never have more than 5 minutes (sometimes even less) to do my face most *read all* of the time. Well blame that on my inborn talents of procrastination and laziness ;)
And this is how i make the most of the 5 minutes :P

Just listing down the products I normally use for normal days and casual outings :)

For my skincare :

• Moisturize using Lotus Alphamoist/AM Almond lotion.
• Next, I apply Am under eye gel to keep my dark circles under control.I also use Itone to keep my eyes clear :)
• Finish with lip balm to prep my dry lips for the lipstick :)

2.Aroma Magic Under Eyegel : One of the best products from Aroma Magic! I have been making repurchases of this tube since 2 years.

3.Maybelline baby lips Lipbalm : Not exactly baby lips but it is the only colorless one I own apart from Lipice lemon.

4.Garnier BB cream: I can't stand foundations. So I like using this one :) Reviewed here.

For makeup:

 

• Apply garnier BB cream after the Lotus one soaks in.
• Apply Mascara the Lakme eyeconic one is awsum ;)
• Apply the Bourjois Khol and Contour eyepencil in Brun Design.It is a blackened brown shade.Gives a proper definition without being harsh :)
• Brush a reddish pink/coral pink blush over my cheekbones ( from the high points of my cheeks towards the temples). mMkes my face look less chubby ;)
• Depending on my mood/occasion I either use a basic pinkish brown lipstick or a brighter shade and blot it down with a tissue :)

Oranges and Peaches Lip colors!

Being a student my pocket money and hence my purchases are limited!But I do own a few lipsticks.And I wanted to show u the lipsticks that I liked wearing in summers :)


I have also included 2 coral shades:the lotus one and the maybelline moisture extreme one :)

The shades are:

• Maybelline moisture extreme lipstick in Coral pink : The name is apt for this shade.A coral mixed with Pink and is popular from the the collection.Check out d review here .
• Lotus Pure Colors Carnation Lipstick : It is a coral shade with peachy undertone and sometimes even looks coral red on my lips.A confusing shade but brightens up my face in a poof! Reviewed here.

• Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Peach(075) : It is a proper peach color with lil shimmer.I am no fan of frosty shades but this one looks natural on me and the shimmers are not OTT, Reviewed here .

• Amway Attitude Lipstick in Choco Temptation : It is orange -brown lipstick with gold shimmers. A favorite shade :) Reviewed here.
  

•  Bourjois Levres Contour Lip pencil in Peche Voluptese : It is a pretty peachy orange shade great for summers :)

                                             StreetWear Lipstick in Pink Pie
It has low staying power and lasts for an hour or so on my lips in this humidity!But still I love reapplying it as it is just my shade:pretty and makes my lips look so good :D  So much so I prefer this over My Mahogany!

I have no idea y it shows up as red in the pics thou I took it broad daylight!But I can assure u it is definitely a pink!

Fuchsia Dose:Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Oh My Magenta Review and Swatches!

I got Oh My Magenta together with Rum Raisin .It is also from the Velvet Matte range of Colorbar which provides good quality and Long lasting (mostly) lipsticks for affordable price :) And the range is huge with browns,mauve,maroons,pinks,fuchsia,red,orange and many more!
So moving on to this particular shade:

PACKAGING: The packaging is same as that of Rum Raisin with a cylindrical case with one end providing the color of the lipstick.Pretty handy and sturdy :) U can read the review of Rum Raisin here :)

TEXTURE: The lipstick is not creamy since it is a matte one but does not pose any problem in applying..glides smoothly over my lips.But mind u since this is matte u shouldn't dare to use it with flaky lips.Exfoliate and moisturize ur lips before touching this 1!Like other velvet matte lipsticks this one has a peculiar incense smell which lasts as long as u wear it :\ A major drawback here.

PIGMENTATION: It is super pigmented but not as strong as Rum Raisin.It covers the discoloration in a single swipe.

COLOR: It is a vivid pink/Fuchsia shade that requires u to carry it with confidence ;) Or u could tone it down with a dab of tissue for a subtle natural looking pink tint.

LASTING POWER:It lasts for 51/2-6 hrs but u do need to apply lipbalm over it occasionally to prevent drying of lips.

Pros:

• Long lasting
• Great range
• Affordable
• Pretty shade

Cons:

• Being a matte tends to dry up and settle into fine lines.
• Horrible smell
• Difficult to remove

RATING: 3.7 out of 5.

RECO: Yes if u can looking to add a bright shade to ur vanity and do not have problems with matte lipsticks :)

Lipstick Love: Colorbar Velvet Matte:Rum Raisin Review and Swatches!

After hearing everyone rave about the Colorbar Velvet matte lipsticks and tat too the shade Obsessed Orange I went to SS only to get disappointed they had only 4 or 5!Went scouring to H&G where they had some 15 shades but not the orangy one :( :( Then I thot I had to have a orange lipstick so asked them about Maybelline Bronzy Orange..my bad the counter was empty!I went to NH and didn't find Bronzy Orange there too..sigh!!I wanted to get Faces..They have a beautiful warm orange shade but I also wanted to get a fuchsia shade :P Now I was literally in tears..sob sob but didn't want to give up so went back and asked about Lipice lipbalms..they didn't have the color changing ones !! It was too much to bear but still I went ahead got Oh My Magenta.I swatched other lippies too..they were inviting but I got this particular Rum Raisin since I do not own any dark shades it caught my fancy and I brought the baby home :) Suma had suggested to try hot hot hot on lipstick reco long bak but when I swatched the shade I balked :\ But it is definitely a gorgeous red :)

PRICE: 250/- but on Stylecraze u can get it for 225/-

Single swipe:so intense!

PACKAGING: The first lipstick which I bought was from Colorbar and It was in a square tube.And now they come in silver cylindrical tubes.The packaging is pretty sturdy and the cap clicks shut satisfactorily..u need not worry about broken lipsticks with this one.The bottom of the tube has a paint/lipstick that lets us know the exact shade of the lipstick.And it looks classy too ;)
 
COLOR AND TEXTURE: The shade Rum Raisin is a deep maroon shade with little plum and is a versatile color that will suit fair and dusky skin tones alike.It is a pretty intense color to be worn in daytime and will be perfect for functions.It glides over the lips smoothly but def nt creamy.U can't expect that from a matte lipstick I guess ;) Does tend to settle into fine lines after sometime.U def need a high power lipbalm like Lotus cocoa under this if u have dry lips like mine.It smells like agarbatthi to me.

PIGMENTATION: It is highly pigmented.U need only a single swipe to cover the discolorations of lips.As I already mentioned, it is an intense color.And does not contain any shimmers.I hate shimmers or frostiness in lipsticks(except Revlon peach).

LASTING POWER: This particular attribute disappointed me a lot.Usually lipsticks tend to last on my lips on a n avg of 3 hrs.I read reviews of this range that it lasts easily for 6 hrs.But this shade lasted on me only for 3 hrs :( Other lippies are atleast creamy.After 3 hours it leaves a pinkish tint that I am liking.I tried Oh My Magenta.Wore it in the morning and it lasted me for nearly 6 hrs!

PROS:

• Deep marron shade that is flattering on most skin tones.
• Sturdy and classy packaging
• Reasonably priced.
• Awesome range for shade selection
• Lasting power is great for other shades.

CONS:

• The previous lipsticks were creamier.
• Lasting power is okayish for this particular shade.
• Strong incense smell which lasts as long as u are wearing the lipstick :(
• Dry lips will have problems with this one.
• Even after applyin lipbalm underneath it tends to become dry and settles into fine lines after half and hour or so.I keep applying lipbalm over this.
• The pinkish tint left by both Rum Raisin and On My Magenta is the same even thou both are poles apart.one is a deep darker shade and another is a bright fuchsia shade.
• It is difficult to remove the satins from the lips.U need a oil based makeup remover.I use the chambor one from Blisscovered :)

RATING: :D :D :D out of 5

RECO: I would definitely recommend this shade.It makes up for the low staying power.And lips tend to get dry with matte lipsticks :) But be sure to smell the lipsticks at the counter ;)

P.S.: Obsessed Orange is available on stylecraze now..Boohoo..It was not there when I was looking for it :( Y me?? :( I can't stop dreaming of u my orange baby :\

Vacation Tym!!Wat I am carrying!

I am going for vacation and these are the stuffs that I am carrying..And Don't u dare to roll ur eyes on the amount of stuff I am carrying ;)

I hardly get to wear makeup in Normal life so I am going full throttle on makeup..its Weird that I feel more comfortable in my makeup with Strangers :)

In case u r wondering wat the heart velvet on the silver case is..It is a double side mirror :D I fell in love the moment my eyes fell on it!

I am thinking of taking out sum styff but I can't decide on which ones so they r gng to stay I guess!

Lipstick Love: StreetWear Color Rich Lipcolor In Pink Pie Swatches and Review!!

Am going to review the other lipstick that I purchased during my chutku haul :)
It is the Streetwear Color rich lipclor in Pink Pie!I have already reviewed the Pink Satin Lipstick from this range here :)

I am a great fan of J.Lo's nude lips and always sigh when I watch The Wedding Planner..wish I could nick her lipcolors!
So I am foreva on the lukout of nude and beige colors.
 I went to SS and to the Streetwear counter and found so many lipsticks under the color rich range..The H & G in Pondy Bazaar had pathetic color selection.only 5 or 6 colors and all were damn dark and so un-wearable :S
But in SS the colors were so pretty and I couldn't resist picking up one even though I hate the packaging!

The same packaging as that of Pink satin..of course!Very flimsy and the lipstick tends to melt in summer!U cant carry it..u will end up throwing ur pretty handbag ;)\

  

Pink pie is a pretty pink with peachy undertones :) Swatches show it as more pinkish but I verified again while typing out this post..yup it definitely has peach in it ;) Does not feel smooth on the lips and has a semi matte finish.But at the price this will do.

Very wearable color but it bleeds!Compliments fair and dusky skin tones and gives great coverage even on pigmented lips :) Lasts for max 3 hours without food.

Get this one for the beautiful shade if u r ready to accept its cons :)

Lipstick Love: Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick In Sugar Bloom #652 Review and Swatches!!

Sugar Bloom?? What the hell is that name??I didn't want to gross u guys but The Evil Me couldn't stop itself :D
According to Wikipedia:
Chocolate bloom is a moldy-looking white coating that can appear on the surface of chocolate. This effect is one of the main concerns in the production of chocolate. There are two types of bloom: fat bloom, arising from changes in the fat in the chocolate; and sugar bloom, formed by the action of moisture on the sugar ingredients. The unsightly crystals of fat and sugar bloom limit the shelf life of many chocolates. Chocolate that has "bloomed" is still safe to eat, but may have an unappetizing appearance and surface texture.

But don't u worry gals We are talking about a lipstick which doesn't have sugar as its ingredient...umm a minute..wait what is responsible for that syrupy taste??:O

Anyways I will leave this discussion open and move on to my review!

It is a sort of caramelly brown..the 3rd pic is a more apt color description ;) It is a brown shade that will suit most skin tones and will not make u luk older!But it may not suit very fair beauties!!
The shade from the tube reminds me of the colorbar nail laquer 25 review here
For me It is my MLBB brown shade,...I usually dont wear browns on my lips but I like this one and wear it along with my Faces Amber Rose blush !
This lipstick can be paired with bright eye makeup ;) or when u go for the No makeup look :)

The staying power is 2 hours and the pigmentation is average..I need to swipe 2 times for a decent amount of color on my lips!
Smooth Texture and Doesn't dry my lips!But u will happier results with a lip balm underneath :) 
But the Oh God Noooo factor of this lipstick is the syrupy smell and taste!!Yuckk makes me throw up but I control as a decent person I am ;)
Tha packaging is typical Lakme But well they have changed the packaging for Lip Love as well as the Absolute range atleast :)
Overall A good lipstick for the price 225/- and u can experiment with the colors in this range to know what sort of shade u want from the High end Brands :)

Back with Elle 18 Mulberry Splash Review and Swatches!!

U guys might have seen my status on Fb mentioning my intentions to "quit blogging" but after I saw ur comments I took time to think and was like hell!this is something I like doing..sharing my experiences gives me a high :D So am back with the review of Elle 18 lipstick in Mulberry Splash!!

Elle 18 products are dirt cheap but I never got them before the relauch !! I got all the sparklers,black out eyeliner,lipgloss in berry bomb and this particular shade of lipstick!

I was looking for a mauve shade and there were no testers available so I ended up looking at the catalog and got this.After coming home and excitedly applying it I vowed never to get a mauve lippie :(

It is a purplish mauve color with silver shimmers..has more of grey undertones ...it is very sheer and u need 3 swipes for a proper color and they are nt drying..but do settle on fine lines!The shimmer doesn't suit this particular color.The color stays for an hour without eating or drinking otherwise it vaporizes completely..not even a slight hint of stain.
About this shade,I hate it..it transforms into a grey shade with silver shimmers on my lips :@ I cannot wear it even at my home.
Overall the lipstick is so and so..u can try shades like pomegranate pie,fruitopia and other pinks and reds.It has lot of shades to choose from!!And extremely pocket friendly..great options for college students!!U can carry them with u as they are snug but be careful as the packaging is flimsy..drop it more than thrice ur lippie would be squashed ;) and the heat too can ruin ur lippie!

I have been obsessed with skincare these days!!Didn't use cosmetics much :D
Anks of Novice makeup asked for d swatches of these lipsticks so I got out of hibernation to post this :)

I got the Tester pack of the 6 lipsticks as I don usually buy darker shades and this was d rgt opportunity to try different colors without wasting money and also they are easier to carry around :)

 From L-R:Natural Brown,Choco Temptation,Maroon Magic,Brown Dazzle,Sassy Pink,Plum Shine

There are totally 6 lipsticks that are Bullet-Sized.each is of 1.6 g and costs 120 I believe!!

Natural brown is a light brown shade but goes takes a pinkish brown color on my lips!
Choco Temptation is a orangy brown shade with obvious golden shimmers!
Maroon Magic  is a deep maroon shade as the name suggests!!
Brown Dazzle is the one with the most shimmery texture!It is a proper brown shade with golden shimmers!!
Sassy Pink is a milky cool toned pink color that is slightly difficult for me to carry :( I tone it down with a beige or brown gloss!!
Plum Shine is a pretty light plum shade!

Of the lot,Plum Shine and Natural Brown are my Favourites :)


PROS:

• The shades without shimmers have a light Glossy Finish!!
• U have Browns,Pinks and Plums in this new range :)Everyone will find atleast one of their choice!!But I wish they had red instead of brown dazzle.
• They do not dry my lips!!U can skip ur lipbalm with this if u do not suffer from chapped lips :)
• They do not accentuate the fine lines!
• I can forego lip gloss with d shimmer ones :D
• The shimmers stay put for sometime before they start their journey :around the face in half an hour ;)
• Extremely travel friendly:U can carry it in ur purse for any occasion!
• The staying power is nearly 3 hrs in my case!!The darker shades(maroon and plum) leave a light stain after that..its nt much but I like the way they look natural

• All the shades are decently pigmented!!
• The individual  cost 250 nearly which is quite reasonable :)

CONS:

•  The packaging of the tester pack is very normal.But the actual lipsticks come in a black packaging!!
• Availability is an issue!!I had to wait long !!
• u can't exactly call these creamy but that's what makes them not bleed!!
• The shimmers could stay put for a longer time :\
• Could be more balmy.

I am really happy that I got this :D
