Colorbar Creme touch Lipstick In Candy Rose Review and Swatches!

U never know which things will work for you or not until u actually experiment! Like I always hated cheese cuz it reminded me of butter (which I makes me puke) but once I was forced to have a cheese sandwich and I was hooked! I can polish off a cheese cube in minutes albeit if not on a stupid *healthy* diet ;) And cheese garlic bread makes me go weak in the knees :P Ahem ahem getting back to the point I had been scared of blue based lipsticks. But that was before I tried MAC Mehr at the outlet. While swatching the Colorbar Creme Touch lipsticks, I liked Dreamy pink the most which is a coral pink shade. But I went with Candy Rose since I somehow felt the dirty rose shade would suit me :) 

• The Colorbar Creme touch lipsticks comes in a classy silver tube with a lavender ring in the center. I like the mirror like packaging except it is susceptible to finger prints. Also if u own multiple shades it becomes difficult to identify.
• Being priced at Rs.400/- it is definitely not a budget lipstick. 

• The shade Candy Rose is a dirty blue based rose. Blue based lipsticks generally tend to suck the life out of my face but this one gives a much needed pop  of color :)
• It will suit both warm and cool toned skin as weel as a range of skin colors from fair to dark :)
• Glides like butter over lips.Has an extremely creamy texture and dry lips would love love love this!

• Due to its immense creamy texture it tends to bleed even under mildly humid conditions.
• Does not settle into my fine lines thou I do not have too many.
• The finish is glossy for an hr after which it settles into a creamy matte finish. Not drying at all.But I do swipe my balm after it sets.
• The staying power is 3 hours without food. It gets wiped off easily on contact with food.

VERDICT :

The color is a pretty cool toned rose that is wearable to office and a great addition to ur vanity :)

Like I always mention I keep the best things to the last ;) 

So I am reviewing the third (hopefully not the last) lipstick that I own from the Revlon Colorburst range :) U can read the reviews of the other 2 lipsticks here and here. I am not gonna talk about the packaging.

• Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Rose is the prettiest lipstick shade that I have come across! It is beautiful blend of pink and red that will look reddish pink on ur pretty lips ;)
• The texture is creamy and u need to exfoliate ur lips before application.Glides like butter on the lips.

• Pigementation is okayish. If u have pigemented lips u will need 2 to 3 swipes.
• The finish is semi matte.
• Does not settle into fine lines.

Under direct sunlight

• The lipstick is neither moisturizing nor drying despite being creamy in texture. I definitely need a lip balm underneath.
• The lasting power is low.Stayed on for only 2 hrs after which it vanished without a trace :(
• The price point is a major con. Rs.620/- for 3.7 g. 
• This shade will look lovely on fair/medium skin :)

VERDICT:

It is such a gorgeous shade! I think 2013 is going to lucky for me in terms of makeup ;) Soft rose paired Inglot Coral pink blush (32) can brighten anyone's day :)

Lipstick Love : Revlon Colorburst In Peach Review!!

Am obsessed with Peaches and Oranges these days:D And I wanted to try out the Colorburst range from Revlon!

It comes in a classic black packaging with Revlon printed across the center!The lipstick as u can c also contains an engraving of REVLON!!I find it pretty chic :D 


It is a medium peach shade that is devoid of pink or brown undertones!Totally peachish :D
The only drawback is that it is sheer and u need to swipe it thrice (for me) to get the actual color on my lips!
This lipstick is worth d money(580/-) and I am thinking of Soft rose and Blush :D Is more suited for fair complexions.
Its creamier than Lakme lip love and doesn't require a lipbalm underneath! And definitely doesn't emphasize fine lines :)



It works great when paired with soft pink blushes ;) or if u want to go all peach then I recommend the Faces Burnt Sienna blush !

Lipstick Love: Lakme Lip Love In Rose Kissed Swatches and Review!

Lakme is obsessed with rose  and kiss :P First it was the Cheek Artist from the Fantasy Collection "Kiss of Rose" (which was a gr8 blush :) ) And now the Rose Kissed Lipstick from their Lip Love range!


It is a warm pink color tat luks darker on the tube!

The lipstick spells glam in the packaging.I adore the "LOVE" inscribed on the tube as well as the lipstick bullet :D :P

It is so creamy..just glides over my lips :D

 And It can be worn on an everyday basis with a light hand and when a little darkened is perfect for night outs!! 

Pigmentation is high.The swatch is of single swipe.

Finish is creamy and looks glossy for half an hr or so.

The Color lasts on me for 4 hrs without any food.but fades in case I take food to a light almost MLBB rose shade :D

 And am not gonna comment on the *inflation* of Lakme Products!!

            Highly Recommend this shade as it will suit most Indian skin tones!!

Lipstick Love: Maybelline My Mahogany Review and Swatches !

I have seen Bloggers raving about this lipstick..but was apprehensive abt getting it since it looked brownish.And I scold myself everytime I use this for nt investing in it earlier :P U guys must have read its reviews on other blogs so getting straight to d point..Y love tis LIPSTICK :

• The packaging is good.They are categorized based on the color family of the lipstick shade :)
• It goes perfectly MLBB on me..Brings out a mild brownish undertone on my lips :) 
• Has a balmy texture.
• My best friend wen in a hurry..I just apply 1 or 2 small swipes over my lips and rub together.
• Funtastic stuff at a fantastic price :P 
• Finish is not exactly creamy but there is a hint of glossiness for some time.
• Stays for a medium amount of time..3 to 4 hours without food..but transfers easily..the rims of my white coffee mug were stained brown:|
• U can put this in ur handbag and use it anytime for touch ups ..I am sure the packaging won't break :)but be sure to remove the stains already present before applying a fresh coat :)
• The 1 thing I didn't like was it does not smoothen my fine lines which seems to be appear from nowhere wen I am abt to apply a lipstick :rolls eyes:
