Chambor Moisture Plus Lipstick in Coral Plus Review and Swatches!!

I am a hopelessly romantic person. Even little gestures make me go mushy.

And a lip color that has the perfect mixture of coral and pink whipped together is sure to make me go weak in the knees ;)

So when I came across the shade in Flirtatious Pink Take me as I am lipcolor from Colorbar, I was ready to splurge till Deepika asked me to check the Chambor counter. Armed with the wrist swatch of FP, I marched down and found the same shade in Moisture Plus range :D 200 bucks saved phew!!'

This is my first Chambor makeup product not considering the makeup remover I received as a part of some bag once:O Never got around to buying stuff from their counter. Coming to the packaging, it has a navy blue body with silver band around the opening. Previously these used to have a full silver body. Sturdy and travel friendly packaging but very mediocre to look at.

The color as mentioned is a soft coral pink that luks fresh.

The texture is soft. Glides buttery smooth and has good pigmentation. Pigmented lips can be covered with 2/3 swipes. Does not look cakey when built up.


Provides a creamy finish and glossy sheen on application. The sheen vanishes after 20-30 mins and the color lasts for 2-3 hours without food. For this price, the lipstick should last longer.

Is transferable but any lipstick should be left alone at least for the initial 30 mins or so to set. Becomes less prone to transfer that way :)

The one daunting thing about this lipstick is the smell.It has a weird smell that lasts for 10 mins at least and I really do not appreciate it.

It has a white moisture core at the center that lends a softness to the lipstick.

Overall, a pretty fresh take on the coral pink lipsticks. I would use it more often had it not been the fragrance.

Biotique Bio Color Lipstick in Bamboo Review and Swatches! And No its not a Green!

Who names a lipstick bamboo ?? Seriously! Bamboos are green and have u guys ever seen a gal wearing green lip color ?? Not even the zombies ;) Zombies have grey/blue or even red lips with all the blood dripping down their disfigured faces. But let's say the guy/gal who named this lipstick bamboo was in love with bamboos as I am! Bamboos have a drugged effect on me. They remind me of dense green forests and Kerala! And maybe he/she loved this lip color with a fierceness that the creative team decided to name it Bamboo :)

Ahem Ahem :)

• The lipstick comes in  a black case which is practical and sturdy but not chic. They could have given more thought to the packaging.
• The biotique bio color lipsticks are priced at Rs.225/- 
• Bamboo is an innocent coral pink similar to Maybelline Coral pink but less vibrant. It is like the shy cute sister which every guy wants to get to know ;)
• The texture is not exactly creamy but glides without tugging.
• Would accentuate dry flakes so exfoliation and moisturizing with baby lips prior to application will help u not curse the lipstick for the color is too pretty for that.
• Has a vanilla-plastic mixture kinda smell that vanishes a few minutes after application.
• Sets to a matte finish but not drying.It exudes a slight glossiness initially. I go over with my chapstick after application.
• Staying power is less for a matte finish lipstick. The average wear time I got was 3 hours. It fades to a tint after food.

The second one from left is the bamboo one and the one next to it is Maybelline Coral Pink :)  Though they look the exact shade in the hand swatches, Bamboo is less intense and more wearable :)

VERDICT :

If u already own the maybelline one u need not necessarily get this shade. But it is a coral pink that would suit fair-medium skin amazingly well :)

Lipstick It's u this tym! And Chennai Bloggers Meet!

We had a bloggers meet here in Chennai last Saturday.It was freaking awesome! Met Deepika,Radha,Shweta and Madhumathy :* Missed U Raji! Shweta had cooked yummy marwadi food :D       We had Veg Jalfrezi (My fav), Bhaigan bartha,Panchratna dal and Aloo gobi mattar sabzi with Roti. And sprouts salad with Real orange juice!

 

Then Shweta showed us her makeup and did contouring on me :D :P I was so sleepy and was making faces cuz I hate foundations :P She also did eye makeup on Rads! Deepika showed me the Inglot and Sleek illuminator. I didn't take a liking then.But now I want to buy the Inglot one :D 

Before leaving we had fruit and cream dessert :D We had a blast and am already looking forward to meeting the gals again ;) 

I got some Avon Lipsticks from Deeps :) She also gifted me the Oriflame Pure color lipstick in Coral Rose ;)

  

Rads gifted me a pretty gloss! I am so in love with it :D 

See this time I got only lipsticks no blush :P I also got 1 amway attitude moisture rich lipstick.Will review it soon :)
