Lipstick Love : NYX Round Lipstick Lip Creme in 565 B52 Swatches!

How excited do u get when u find an awesome product in ur makeup stash which u had ignored till now??

I was jumping all over the place :D And that was because I found this particular lipstick so good both the color and the texture :)
I had actually worn it once or twice but as with all NYX lipsticks this one smells like detergent and I kept away from it .

But the other day I took this out and tried it on..it was so creamy and the color is such a pretty Pinkish brown that I could see stars in the daylight :D :P (in a gud way of course)

• I found it is actually a Lipstick Lip Creme on google (decode urself) and is the creamiest lipstick I have ever used.
• It is packed with pigments and a single swipe is enuf to cover any degree of pigmentation.
• It is a pinkish brown shade that is on the brighter side.It is not ur regular n*de shade but will brighten up ur face.

• The color is not overpowering either.
• The finish is glossy and makes the lips look plump.
• It keeps my lips hydrated as long as I wear it.I do not need a lip balm with this :)
• Due to the creamy texture it has the tendency to bleed and lasts 2-3 hrs on me.
• Does not settle into fine lines nor does it stain ur lips.
• This one melts so u need to refrigerate it
• The smell is not pleasing to put it mildly ;).

All in all I would say a must have lipstick owing to its texture and pigmentation.The color is rich and will suit duskier skintones too.I can't thank Rekha enough for including this in her giveaway :D Thank u again :)
I compared this with Lakme Rose Kissed and found them to b almost similar but this one is more intense and has a more brownish undertone.
And I also swatched this with My Mahogany and the colors are very different.My mahogany is kind of peachy browny shade while this one is pinky browny.Check out for urself ;)

Fuchsia Dose:Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Oh My Magenta Review and Swatches!

I got Oh My Magenta together with Rum Raisin .It is also from the Velvet Matte range of Colorbar which provides good quality and Long lasting (mostly) lipsticks for affordable price :) And the range is huge with browns,mauve,maroons,pinks,fuchsia,red,orange and many more!
So moving on to this particular shade:

PACKAGING: The packaging is same as that of Rum Raisin with a cylindrical case with one end providing the color of the lipstick.Pretty handy and sturdy :) U can read the review of Rum Raisin here :)

TEXTURE: The lipstick is not creamy since it is a matte one but does not pose any problem in applying..glides smoothly over my lips.But mind u since this is matte u shouldn't dare to use it with flaky lips.Exfoliate and moisturize ur lips before touching this 1!Like other velvet matte lipsticks this one has a peculiar incense smell which lasts as long as u wear it :\ A major drawback here.

PIGMENTATION: It is super pigmented but not as strong as Rum Raisin.It covers the discoloration in a single swipe.

COLOR: It is a vivid pink/Fuchsia shade that requires u to carry it with confidence ;) Or u could tone it down with a dab of tissue for a subtle natural looking pink tint.

LASTING POWER:It lasts for 51/2-6 hrs but u do need to apply lipbalm over it occasionally to prevent drying of lips.

Pros:

• Long lasting
• Great range
• Affordable
• Pretty shade

Cons:

• Being a matte tends to dry up and settle into fine lines.
• Horrible smell
• Difficult to remove

RECO: Yes if u can looking to add a bright shade to ur vanity and do not have problems with matte lipsticks :)

Lipstick Love: Colorbar Velvet Matte:Rum Raisin Review and Swatches!

After hearing everyone rave about the Colorbar Velvet matte lipsticks and tat too the shade Obsessed Orange I went to SS only to get disappointed they had only 4 or 5!Went scouring to H&G where they had some 15 shades but not the orangy one :( :( Then I thot I had to have a orange lipstick so asked them about Maybelline Bronzy Orange..my bad the counter was empty!I went to NH and didn't find Bronzy Orange there too..sigh!!I wanted to get Faces..They have a beautiful warm orange shade but I also wanted to get a fuchsia shade :P Now I was literally in tears..sob sob but didn't want to give up so went back and asked about Lipice lipbalms..they didn't have the color changing ones !! It was too much to bear but still I went ahead got Oh My Magenta.I swatched other lippies too..they were inviting but I got this particular Rum Raisin since I do not own any dark shades it caught my fancy and I brought the baby home :) Suma had suggested to try hot hot hot on lipstick reco long bak but when I swatched the shade I balked :\ But it is definitely a gorgeous red :)

PRICE: 250/- but on Stylecraze u can get it for 225/-

Single swipe:so intense!

PACKAGING: The first lipstick which I bought was from Colorbar and It was in a square tube.And now they come in silver cylindrical tubes.The packaging is pretty sturdy and the cap clicks shut satisfactorily..u need not worry about broken lipsticks with this one.The bottom of the tube has a paint/lipstick that lets us know the exact shade of the lipstick.And it looks classy too ;)
 
COLOR AND TEXTURE: The shade Rum Raisin is a deep maroon shade with little plum and is a versatile color that will suit fair and dusky skin tones alike.It is a pretty intense color to be worn in daytime and will be perfect for functions.It glides over the lips smoothly but def nt creamy.U can't expect that from a matte lipstick I guess ;) Does tend to settle into fine lines after sometime.U def need a high power lipbalm like Lotus cocoa under this if u have dry lips like mine.It smells like agarbatthi to me.

PIGMENTATION: It is highly pigmented.U need only a single swipe to cover the discolorations of lips.As I already mentioned, it is an intense color.And does not contain any shimmers.I hate shimmers or frostiness in lipsticks(except Revlon peach).

LASTING POWER: This particular attribute disappointed me a lot.Usually lipsticks tend to last on my lips on a n avg of 3 hrs.I read reviews of this range that it lasts easily for 6 hrs.But this shade lasted on me only for 3 hrs :( Other lippies are atleast creamy.After 3 hours it leaves a pinkish tint that I am liking.I tried Oh My Magenta.Wore it in the morning and it lasted me for nearly 6 hrs!

PROS:

• Deep marron shade that is flattering on most skin tones.
• Sturdy and classy packaging
• Reasonably priced.
• Awesome range for shade selection
• Lasting power is great for other shades.

CONS:

• The previous lipsticks were creamier.
• Lasting power is okayish for this particular shade.
• Strong incense smell which lasts as long as u are wearing the lipstick :(
• Dry lips will have problems with this one.
• Even after applyin lipbalm underneath it tends to become dry and settles into fine lines after half and hour or so.I keep applying lipbalm over this.
• The pinkish tint left by both Rum Raisin and On My Magenta is the same even thou both are poles apart.one is a deep darker shade and another is a bright fuchsia shade.
• It is difficult to remove the satins from the lips.U need a oil based makeup remover.I use the chambor one from Blisscovered :)

RATING: :D :D :D out of 5

RECO: I would definitely recommend this shade.It makes up for the low staying power.And lips tend to get dry with matte lipsticks :) But be sure to smell the lipsticks at the counter ;)

P.S.: Obsessed Orange is available on stylecraze now..Boohoo..It was not there when I was looking for it :( Y me?? :( I can't stop dreaming of u my orange baby :\

Lipstick Love:ColorBar Nectar Lipstick Review and Swatches!

This was my first lipstick .I asked the SA for the Irish rose shade. But she asked me the shade number which I didn’t know.She picked up the nectar shade and told me it would be my perfect MLBB shade.It looked orangish in the misleading shop lights. Someone should invent lights that produce the same effects as day light :| On reaching home,I discovered that it is a dusty pink shade.

I top it with a gloss as it washes me out sometimes.It is creamy and costed me Rs.150.But Colorbar has raised its prices :@
Packaged in a square transparent plastic box.
Has a creamy texture and is well pigmented :)
Finish is glossy and creamy. 
It lasts maximum 3 hrs on me due to its texture and u might need a lipliner underneath.
I skip lip balm with this.

Overall it is a everyday wear pink shade which will suit fair skintones to the T but may wash u out if u possess medium skin tone.

Maybelline Watershine Liquid Diamonds In Pink Ruby Review!!

Maybelline Watershine range is my fav for Lipglosses.I am now going to review the Pink Ruby from their Liquid Diamonds range which has more shimmers in it.

It is a pretty pink that will suit fair as well as wheatish complexions.On the lips it transforms to a pink with slight red undertones.

PROS:

1. The shimmers will suit for partywear.

2. Flattering Color.

3. Pocket friendly.

4. The applicator is good for applying the gloss.

CONS:

1. Doesn’t last on me..Maximum 2 hrs without eating :(

2. I don’t wear for normal outings..too glittery.

3.  After it fades it leaves the shimmers behind..not cool.

Raspberry Anyone??? Maybelline Colorsensational lipgloss Raspberry Sorbet

No I haven't tasted raspberrys..but I want to atleast for the tint they would give my lips:P (I hope they do ) I got this colorsensational gloss in Raspberry Sorbet my frnds marriage.I was trying the watershine ones but when the SA swatched this..so pigmented !! I was in love with this :D 

The packaging luks beautiful..:)

I like to wear this only for special occasions otherwise its just me and my watershine :D 

The color is a deep pink  one and u can layer it to get deeper shades if u wish :)

YES:

1.The color is gorgeous

2.Super pigmentation

3.Less sticky.

4.Stays for decent amount of tym.

5.The doe applicator is very useful in applying.

I don't find any cons for this :)

Lipstick Love: Maybelline My Mahogany Review and Swatches !

I have seen Bloggers raving about this lipstick..but was apprehensive abt getting it since it looked brownish.And I scold myself everytime I use this for nt investing in it earlier :P U guys must have read its reviews on other blogs so getting straight to d point..Y love tis LIPSTICK :

• The packaging is good.They are categorized based on the color family of the lipstick shade :)
• It goes perfectly MLBB on me..Brings out a mild brownish undertone on my lips :) 
• Has a balmy texture.
• My best friend wen in a hurry..I just apply 1 or 2 small swipes over my lips and rub together.
• Funtastic stuff at a fantastic price :P 
• Finish is not exactly creamy but there is a hint of glossiness for some time.
• Stays for a medium amount of time..3 to 4 hours without food..but transfers easily..the rims of my white coffee mug were stained brown:|
• U can put this in ur handbag and use it anytime for touch ups ..I am sure the packaging won't break :)but be sure to remove the stains already present before applying a fresh coat :)
• The 1 thing I didn't like was it does not smoothen my fine lines which seems to be appear from nowhere wen I am abt to apply a lipstick :rolls eyes:
