MAC See Sheer Lipstick Review with Swatches!!

My First MAC lipstick Review!! Yaaay!!

I had always wanted Cosmo as my first MAC but it did not exactly flatter me under the store lights. Actually no lipstick did but I wanted Crosswires and Mehr.As both were OOS I picked this up along with Captive :)

MAC See Sheer is the most flattering peachy coral I have come across! And this is not coming from me cuz it is my first MAC. Honestly I am liking it more than my Revlon Soft Rose and that is saying something ;) If u are looking to buy a summer color from MAC then check this out! I guarantee u would be floored by the color especially if u are fair-medium.

The packaging is standard MAC so I am not gonna dwell on it.

It is from the Lustre Finish range of MAC and provides sheer coverage with one swipe. But the opacity can be built to almost 75-80%.

Has a soft honey like texture and gives a glossy finish. Is lightweight and hence would not bleed like other creamy lipsticks. Keeps my lips hydrated.

The only con is the staying power which is just 2 hours on me :\ But I do not mind reapplying :)

I have dry lips and I always use a lip balm underneath lipsticks. This one does not settle into my fine lines.I saw sum reviews complaining about it but thank God that does not happen with me ;)

It goes well with coral and peach blushes :) Totally a no fuss lipstick that can be worn with minimal makeup for the soft look and not to forgot the delicious vanilla smell :D

Layer Revlon Papaya gloss over this to attain Coral Nirvana :)

VERDICT :

A coral color that stole my heart with its glossy finish and dry lip friendly texture :)  If u have more pink in ur lips it would probably look a pinky coral on u. It is my first MAC and if at all it gets over am gonna re purchase for sure ;)

Lipstick Love : Inglot Lipstick Refill in No. 56 Review and Swatches!

For too long a time I thought pinks were the only ones for me. No matter what lip color I applied my natural lip color would peek thru. Well I was sorely mistaken! All I needed was a highly pigmented lip color to prove peaches can perk up my face like Inglot 56 ;) I and my friend met after loooong time and she asked me what lip color was I wearing :P

  • The refill comes in a circular metal pan enclosed inside a plastic case.
  • Refills are priced at Rs.300/- ( price hike alert). Though the quantity offered is less stay rest assured about the quality. It is top notch :)

Under Sunlight

  • The shade 56 is a peachy coral that would look lovely on fair to medium skin. No. 73 is brighter and has less peach in it.
  • The lipstick has a semi matte finish. The finish differs from shade to shade.
  • It does not weigh down the lips and feels light :)
  • The smell am unable to pin point but it vanishes in a few minutes.
  • The lipstick is highly pigmented. Covers my lip color with very less amount.

I know the swatches look a lil darker but the shade is wat I described as : peachy coral

  • Is not prone to bleeding owing to its texture.
  • Staying power is 3 hours on my lips. With food it leaves behind a slight tint.
  • Requires smooth lips to look even.

VERDICT :

I am loving this color a lot! It looks fantastic paired with coral blush :) This all things coral and orange phase is making my life colorful :D

P.S: This post was supposed to be up one hour back but the Fashion disaster page of yahoo! caught my fancy. Dolly Bindra??? What were u thinkin!!

Lipstick Love : Inglot Lipstick refill no. 73 Review and Swatches

I love my pinks but Oranges and Corals are like Happy colors! Whenever u feel low just swipe a coral/peach/orange lipstick/blush u can instantly feel the cheeriness returning ;)

As u can from my previous posts I am into this brights phase, so I am reviewing a coral lipstick from Inglot!

  • Inglot offers Freedom System on their lipsticks, eyeshadows, brow powders, concealers, blushers and what not! U can try a plethora of shades without going bankrupt.
  • Customized palettes are always a treat and when the quality offered is awesome u r bound to fall in love with the brand ;)

  • The lipstick refill is packed inside a round metal pan placed inside a plastic case.U need a palette if you are going to travel with the refills.Inglot stores make it mandatory to own a palette if u r going to buy refills from them.I prefer ordering them online for majorbrands.in.
  • Each lipstick refill costs you Rs.250/- which is pricey for a 1.2 g product but most of us never come close to finishing a full tube of lipstick ;) I prefer these high quality less quantity refills.
  • U need a lip brush to apply the color.Or u can make do with fingers.I like my Vega Lip Filler Brush :)
  • As usual no name only number for the lipsticks.
  • This particular shade is a lovely peachy coral.

  • The pigmentation is high.U need a tiny amount to cover all the discolorations.
  • Glides on smoothly.
  • Does not settle into fine lines.
  • Does not bleed!

  • The finish is semi matte with a hint of glossiness on my lips.
  • Does not dry out lips but I still need a lip balm underneath.
  • It transfers but most lipsticks do except some of the true mattes.
  • Lasts for about 4 hours on my lips! And after that leaves behind a  stain :)
  • FYI, the finish of the lipstick depends on the shade.
