8 Brightening lipsticks for Fair-Medium skin

This post is for girls out there who wear lipsticks that totally clashes with their fair/medium skin color. Even desi brands like Lakme have mostly browns and maroons in their enrich satin collection :/ There are fair gals who carry brown lipsticks pretty well but I am not one of those lucky ones. Brown makes me look haggard and sick :( If u are like me then no issues I am here to help u out :)

Personally I love Coral Pinks! They work like a charm any day :)

So here goes the list!

In the same order :

• Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Sweetheart : I use a single swipe for a sheer wash of fuchsia for looking fresh.
• Colorbar Creme Touch lipstick in Candy Rose : This one will suit dusky skin too :) A blue toned rose for instant perk up.
• Maybelline High Shine lipstick in Fruit Punch : Another yummy fuchsia that can add zing to ur face :)
• Colorbar Creme Touch lipstick in Tangerino : A warm orange. This and sunglasses for the chic look ;)
• Lotus Pure Colors lipstick in Carnation : Reddish coral designed to blow away ur monday blues. Glides on like a cream lipstick but sets to a matte finish which is not drying for a change.
• Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipstick in Coral Pink : The best lipstick shade from my stash! It is a dupe of MAC Crosswires and very bright. I apply it using fingers for a pretty tin.
• Inglot 73 : A coral peach in the pan that looks coral pink on me. This is not as bright as the maybelline one but still bright. 
• Lotus Pure Stay Lipgloss in Pink Hypnotic : Reddish pink under bright lights and coral pink under natural light, this is one gloss I would repurchase forever along with Revlon Papaya :)

Apart from the ones in the swatches I would also recommend :

• MAC Lustre lipstick in See Sheer : A delectable coral peach that is a must have.
• Revlon Colorburst lipgloss in Papaya : Coral gloss that comes out stunning on warm Indian skin :)
• Maybelline High Shine gloss in One Shine Day : A wearable coral pink gloss that looks great and not too bright.
• Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Temptress : Blue based medium pink that not only looks natural on my lips but also imparts a punch of morning freshness if u get what I mean ;)
• Avon Simply Pretty lipstick in Coral Pink : This may wash out dusky skin but on fair skin it comes out really well.

Currently Loving! July edition!

Though I literally disappeared from the beauty blogging scene for sometime now I have been using makeup as a ritual to office everyday :) It does not matter that most of it vanishes before I set foot into my office ;)

So what am I liking a lot these days??

Color Color which Color do u choose from the blush palette?? I would so love to use all these shades at the same time but oh well I am not auditioning for clown fiesta :D

I can call R6 the safest color of the lot that stains the cheeks a rosy pink shade that looks Au natural :)

  

Also loving the Colorbar Lip pot in Cherry Pop and Avon Fresh Rose lipstick from the Simply Pretty range :) The cherry pop gives a lovely tint on sheer application and Fresh Rose is a young shade of sorts. Gives enough brightness to wake u up but not to the level where u get stared at in a berating way. The Biotique bio color lipstick in Bamboo is a pretty coral pink shade that a coral loving gal like me has got to own :)

I have been taking the Nutrilite supplement from Amway for over a month now and the results are clearly visible on my skin :) Skin looks brighter!

Like the Lakme eyeconic kajal but I so wanna try the Absolute kohl :) I also got this eye groomer brush from H & G and love how my lashes look defined and fluttery with a single swipe of the lash comb! Hats off to Wayne Goss for the tip ;)

Summer Lip trend Choices!

Most of the makeup trends that we drool over from the Runway are hardly wearable in real life.

But definitely adaptable so that the dogs on our streets do not chase us ;) It all takes a little bit of tapping on the Google baba :)

I was pouring over Grazia and noticed the article on popping lip color trend. And that gave me an idea on doing this post.

I am sharing some lip colors that are perfect for summer but not OTT :) 

Let me start with Fuchsia :

• Maybelline High Shine Lipstick in Fruit Punch : It just stole my heart in the first swipe :) Bright Fuchsia that IS WEARABLE. It is a color that will make u feel pretty instantly. Price : Rs.400/-
• Colorbar True Gloss in Vintage Rose : Not for office wear. Very bright and needs courage to carry off outside home. Price : Rs.495/-
• Colorbar Oh My Magenta : A matte and subdued form of the vintage rose gloss. Price : Rs.250/-

 Tangerine:

• Maybelline High Shine Gloss in Captivating Coral : A warm tangerine gloss. Pigmentation is sheer for those who are not into bold oranges. Price : Rs.350/-
• Revlon Lip butter in Tutti fruiti : A hybrid of vampire and werewolf. Jk! it is a hybrid of lip balm and lipstick. Sheer and very balmy. Price: Rs. 600/-
• Revlon Lip Balm+ Stain in Rendezvous : balmy in texture but sets to matte finish after an hr or so. Medium orange with golden shimmers.Stays put for long. Price : Rs.600/-
• Inglot Lipstick refill in 37 : A popping reddish orange shade. U need helluva guts ;) or just use fingers to sheer it out like I do. Price : Rs.300/ (revised)

Coral :

•  MAC See Sheer Lipstick : I am hooked to this shade. Peachy coral with a glossy finish. Must have for fair warm skin tones. Price : Rs.990/-
• Inglot Lipstick refill in 56 : Another peachy coral with semi matte finish.Deeper than see sheer. Price : Rs.300 (revised).
• Avon mango mania : Technically not a coral but it looks coral on me so anyways. A pinkish coral with orange undertones and sets to a matte finish. Price : Rs.129 (not sure).

P.S. : Avon mango mania used to look brownish orange on me initially. But these days everything takes a pinkish hue on me. So put down ur mosquito bats this instant!

Lipstick It's u this tym! And Chennai Bloggers Meet!

We had a bloggers meet here in Chennai last Saturday.It was freaking awesome! Met Deepika,Radha,Shweta and Madhumathy :* Missed U Raji! Shweta had cooked yummy marwadi food :D       We had Veg Jalfrezi (My fav), Bhaigan bartha,Panchratna dal and Aloo gobi mattar sabzi with Roti. And sprouts salad with Real orange juice!

 

Then Shweta showed us her makeup and did contouring on me :D :P I was so sleepy and was making faces cuz I hate foundations :P She also did eye makeup on Rads! Deepika showed me the Inglot and Sleek illuminator. I didn't take a liking then.But now I want to buy the Inglot one :D 

Before leaving we had fruit and cream dessert :D We had a blast and am already looking forward to meeting the gals again ;) 

I got some Avon Lipsticks from Deeps :) She also gifted me the Oriflame Pure color lipstick in Coral Rose ;)

  

Rads gifted me a pretty gloss! I am so in love with it :D 

See this time I got only lipsticks no blush :P I also got 1 amway attitude moisture rich lipstick.Will review it soon :)
